JOHN BROWNE Fianna Fáil
BORN in Marshalstown, in 1948, John Browne was educated at St. Mary's CBS, in Enniscorthy.
He is married to Judy and has three children, Judy, James and Katrina His fourth child, Andrea, passed away some years ago. A former salesman, he was first elected to the Dail in November, 1982, and at every subsequent election.
Priorities include Further developments at Kilmore Quay Fishery harbour; completion of the bypasses of Enniscorthy and New Ross; extra teachers for Co. Wexford; new secondary school for Gorey; improved after School and Holiday Time childcare for school age children; increased number of social and affordable housing; enhanced 3rd. level facilities at St. Peter's Outreach College; new Garda stations for Gorey and Wexford; protection of family farm incomes for the rural community; increase in real terms for old age pensioners
He says that during the past 5 years the Fianna Fail/PD government has delivered huge investment into Wexford such as the Gorey bypass, new beds for Wexford General Hospital, the new St. John's Hospital, new fire station at Bunclody, new library facilities at Wexford, Gorey and Bunclody, new childcare facilities at Raheen, Askamore, Inch, Kilmuckridge and Taghmon.
