Golfers get into the swing of it at Ballinteskin Par 3 youth league
Golfers travelled from England to compete at Ballinteskin Par 3 golf course which is celebrating a quarter of a century in business this coming year.
Owned by John Deely, the golf course is the venue for an annual summer league for youths which culminates in a full day of golfing and fun activities.
Run over eight weeks during the school holidays, there are prizes for under 12s, 14s and 16s.
A family competition takes place on the final day.
John said: 'This was the 25th year of our family competition. We opened the business 24 years ago and the competition brings people from England. The only criteria is you have to be related through marriage.'
With prizes including bookies, most improved golfer, ladies putting, nearest to the pin, the open cup - which is the big prize - and much more, including a plate for the first round losers, there was something for everyone.
Players enjoyed a bucket draw, guessing the number of tees in a bucket, kids racing and refreshments.
The results are as follows: U12 winner Darragh Bowe, Runner Up: Conor Bowe, U14 winner Robert Foley, U16 winner Rory Hunt, runner-up Tom Dempsey.
