Enniscorthy native has top job in South East
An Enniscorthy native has been appointed as the new director of the South East Action Plan for Jobs (SEAPJ).
Alan Quirke currently works as an attache for the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport in Brussels. Prior to moving to Brussels Alan worked as Economics Manager for the Financial and Evaluation unit in the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.
He grew up in Enniscorthy and is a former pupil of St Mary's CBS in the town. Alan is the son of Nicholas and the late Carmel Quirke.
Qualified with a master's degree in Economics and with a bachelor of law from Trinity College, Alan is a talented economist who has also worked extensively with the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation in a range of areas including monitoring the Action Plan for Jobs.
