Chef Dundon leaves restaurant in Florida
Celebrity chef Kevin Dundon has cut ties with his American restaurant venture in Orlando, Florida.
In keeping with his stated plans to travel less following a health scare earlier this year, Dundon, who runs Dunbrody Country House Hotel in Arthurstown - is no longer the chef partner of Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant at Disney Springs. Dundon said increasing commitments to his family and his hotel - which he runs with his wife Catherine - played into his decision to step down. Dundon said: 'I depart with a great sense of pride and wish Raglan Road continued success.'
Raglan Road Irish Pub opened in then Downtown Disney in 2005. The restaurant was managed Dundon and partners Paul Nolan and John Cooke. The Disney Springs restaurant is well-known for its contemporary take on Irish cuisine and its festive atmosphere, thanks to plenty of live entertainment including Irish dancers and bands. Raglan Road executive chef Heberto Segura will continue to run the pub's kitchen.
Paul Nolan said: 'Raglan Road has had a terrific run with chef Dundon, and we wish him well in his endeavours.'
