From the screams of delight at the once annual Tops of the Town to the screams of footballers playing with Cushinstown FC, Terrerath Community Centre has always been at the heart of the rural community.

However at its AGM in May it was discovered that there were not enough people to go on the committee to help with the running of the hall and so the AGM was postponed. Outgoing Chairperson John O'Neill spoke of the need for the community who use the hall to get together and step up to continue the work.

'What the committee does is vital to continue the working of the hall,' John said.

'We want to keep this hall open but we need the help of the community. We are asking for as many members of the community as possible to attend our reorganised AGM on Thursday, June 13. You do not have to take up a place on the committee but we do need to see that the support is there for the continuing work of the hall. There is a real worry that we might not have any option but to close the centre.'

The committee would urge anyone who uses Terrerath Community Centre to please come along to the AGM on Thursday at 8.30 p.m.
