This is the first time the championships has been held and it will be a great spectacle for New Ross with over 100 anglers competing for the title. The championships will feature pairs of anglers fishing for the largest combined weight for the title.

Trophies for the event have been kindly sponsored by Lazernow Custom Gifts. They will be awarded to the top three pairs with a perpetual All Ireland Pairs Champions trophy for the winners. Entry to the competition is limited to 29 Pairs.

Some 40 bed nights will be booked and any one with bed nights available or wanting to get involved are to contact Adrian on oaklandslake@gmail.com.

Also entries are been accepted for the Pieta House charity fishing event on May 20 at the lake. 2017 is gearing up to be a busy year at the lake, which is located just outside New Ross.
