Shock at death of John Kinsella

Maria Pepper

Family and friends of the well-known Wexfordman John Kinsella have been shocked and deeply saddened by his unexpected death in Spain last weekend.

Mr. Kinsella who was in his 50's, emigrated to Spain with his wife Theresa in 2007 from their native Wexford where they were involved in a successful property lettings and management company in Peter's Square from 1997, which they continued to run from Spain while also establishing a holiday rental business in Costa Blanca.

They fell in love with Ciudad Quesada, a district in the Province of Alicante on the Costa Blanca coast, a 10-minute drive from Torrevieja, after visiting relatives there and decided to make it their permanent home after travelling back and forth for a number of years.

The popular couple settled on the Costa Blanca in Spain where they made many new friends and they helped to set up and run a local music Radio station there called Random FM. They were frequent return visitors to Wexford where news of John's death was greeted with widespread shock and upset.

John sadly passed away last Saturday and is survived by Theresa; his father P.J.; his brother Larry and his sister Diane and by his extended family and his many friends in Wexford and Spain.
