Dundon's foody fundraiser
This Easter Dunbrody Country House Hotel revisits the past with the re-introduction of the Easter Market.
In the 1970s previous owner Lady Josceline Donegall would hold an annual fund-raising street market to raise much needed funds for the local Old Folks Home. This year will see the return of the Easter Market at Dunbrody hosted by the new owners Kevin and Catherine Dundon with all funds raised going to the St Louis Daycare Centre in Ramsgrange.
The event will be spread of a couple of days starting with the Charity Cookery Demonstration with Kevin Dundon on Thursday, April 18, at 8 p.m. The theme is the perfect Easter feast and tickets at €15 are on sale from both Dunbrody House (051 389600) and also the St Louis Daycare Centre. (051 389509).
Tickets for the grand raffle will be on sale on the night and the Local Pub will also be open for food, drink and entertainment. On Easter Sunday the family fun continues with the Easter Market from noon featuring local artisan food producers, crafts, art, goodies, face-painting and an Easter Egg Hunt at 3 p.m. The Grand Raffle takes place later on Easter Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.
