Another Great Win

The Kilkenny Junior Football team had another great win the British Championship when they beat Lancashire in the game played in Manchester. In a cracking game of football, the 'Cats' raced into an early lead being 3-1 to 0-3 after 10 minutes played. However, Lancashire roared back into the fray and were only four points behind at half-time, 3-6 to 0-11.

It was exciting stuff in the second half with scores coming thick and fast before Kilkenny emerged victorious on a score-line of 3-14 to 0-20. Playing very well on the winning team were three Tullogher-Rosbercon clubmen, Pat Hartley, Seán Murray and Kevin Hennessy.

Kilkenny now meet Scotland in the semi-final of the competition for which the ultimate winners will receive a trophy appropriately named the 'Sam Og Maguire Cup'.
