Bannow-Ballymitty - Study Centre: Study Centre in Wellingtonbridge is open Monday to Friday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students can avail of individual days. Social dancing

Dancing continues every Thursday night in Tír na nÓg with music this Thursday, February 7, by Southbound, 14th Jack Ryan, 21st Delta Dawn and 28th Bandit. All proceeds in aid of handball clubs new build, all welcome and refreshments will be served.

GAA club news

Lotto draw this Tuesday evening with a jackpot of €10,400 to be won. Tickets are only two euro each and can be purchased from Doyle's Carrig, Tír na nÓg, Seabreeze Drycleaners, Staffords Tullycanna and from any Club Officer down in the complex.

Sorcha teaches a soft, gentle series of movements that can be practiced on a yoga mat or by sitting on a chair. you can even pay weekly so no damage to your pocket at this expensive time of year. Public Library Services

The Mobile Library will be in Grantstown Daycare Centre on Wednesday, February 6, from 3.10 p.m. to 3.40 p.m. If you would like to join, membership is free. You can pick up an application form here in Grantstown Daycare Centre. It's not just books you can borrow from Wexford Library, there are also e-Books and e-Audio books. If you're already a library member, you can collect a reserved book from the Mobile Library.

21 Day Walking Challenge

For health benefits adults need to be active at a moderate level for at least 30 minutes a day on five days of the week. With that in mind, we would like to invite you to join our residents for a walk in the Bannow-Ballymitty GAA ground at 9 a.m. every morning. You can walk at your own pace, or you can walk on your own and record how long you walk each day for three weeks. Challenge yourself to increase your walking time each week. Let's see how many miles we can walk collectively in 21 days. We have record cards which also contain some useful advice on how to get started. You can get one by calling to reception at Grantstown Daycare Centre.

Getting Citizens Online

Would you like to be able to shop online, do online banking and be able to send and receive emails? Here at Grantstown we will be holding a free Basic Computer Course for five weeks. Dates to be confirmed. There are limited spaces available, to book your place phone us at 051 561016.


Volunteers Needed

At SWWFRC we run projects with a group of core staff, a team of CE workers (of which there is always space to join) and a dedicated group of volunteers. We are asking for people to join us - simply by offering their time. A few hours a week can make a huge difference to the services we can offer. Full training (if necessary) will be given. If you can help, contact reception for more details.

Blokes with Cameras

Blokes with Cameras meet at South West Wexford Family Resource Centre, Ramsgrange on Wednesday 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Beginners and advanced photographers welcome, and you don't need a fancy camera to enjoy photography. We will be running a basic photo shop course so you can have more fun with your photos. Make a note, come along and enjoy photography in a relaxed atmosphere. Senior citizens Concern CLG are holding a coffee morning on Tuesday, February 19, from 9 a.m. to midday in St Louis Day Care Centre. Proceeds in aid of the Day Care Centre.

Active Retirement

Next monthly meeting - Monday, February 4, in ST LOUIS Day Care Centre. Start 2.15 p.m. This will be our AGM Come along for a chat with new and old friends over a cup of tea and a bun. New members always welcome. Just a reminder yearly membership fees of €20 per member due by end February, this yearly fee includes insurance cover and we also subsidise many outings where we can. We are always looking for new members, so if you are 50 or over, why not come along and join us.

Afternoon Tea - This will be held in the Kings Bay Inn, Arthurstown, February 20; this will be a drop in from 2.30 till 4.30. Shielbaggan school enrolments

Scoil Naomh Úna, Shielbaggan is a two-teacher school in the parish of Ramsgrange. St James GAA lotto

Campile Bingo

There is a weekly game of bingo being held in Campile Hall every Monday night at 8.30 p.m. in aid of the ongoing development of the hall, with prize money of €1,250 approximately being paid out each night with a rolling in house lotto and Snowball also being played each night. We welcome each and every one senior citizens, young and children alike to try it and enjoy a great night out and win some money into the bargain.

Community lotto

There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €17,800. The winning numbers were 4, 14, 25 and 31. There were seven match-three winners who received €30 each. The winners were Audrey Devereux, Angela Meyler, Paddy O'Neill, Pat Whitmore, Denice Wright, Sarah and Kacey Rooney, JP Cahill. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, February 5, and the jackpot now stands at €18,000.
