Coiste na nOg

The Under 17 hurlers, Moguegeen Gaels played Buffers Alley in the Roinn 1 County Final in St. Patrick's Park recently. Playing into a strong breeze they trailed by just a point twenty minutes into the first half. A strong spell for ten minutes either side of half time saw Buffers Alley extend their lead to ten points as they took control of the game. The Gaels staged a late comeback but were dependant on the accuracy of Cian Byrne from frees to reduce the lead. Buffers Alley proved to be the better team on the day as they won by 0-16 to 0-9.

The Under 15 footballers played Glynn/Barntown in the County semi-final in Enniscorthy last weekend, full report in next week's paper.
