Ballymore-Mayglass: Walking Track Information Night - The new fully lit community walking track in St Fintan's clubgrounds is now open to all users.

An information/demonstration night will be held on Tuesday, October 1, from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. where everyone is invited along to use the track and where you will be shown how to turn on the lights etc ahead of the dark evenings. Thank You

The committee of Ballycogley community hall would like to say a special thank you to the committee and members of the Bargy Vintage club for their generous donation this week of €1,250 towards the continued restoration of our hall in Ballycogley. We the committee appreciate your on going support, which is important for the local community.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Patricia Furlong, 18 Loch Tochair View, Our Lady's Island, who sadly died during the past week and whose remains were laid to rest in Ballymore cemetery following her funeral Mass in Our Lady's Island. May she rest in peace.

The St Fintan's junior hurling team played a local derby game versus Kilmore in the Permanent TSB junior A hurling championship during the recent past. This game was played in Kilmore and both sides had qualified for the latter stages of the championship prior to the fixture. The home side took the spoils on a scoreline of 0-20 to 1-12 in a rather lack lustre affair and both teams will need to step up considerably.

It is great to see the new floor and hopefully we can expand our services and activities as a result. We wish to thank the relevant bodies who funded this project, namely Wexford County Council and the HSE Lottery fund without them we would not be able to do this necessary work. And last but not least the community at large for your support to us over the years. It is all very much appreciated.

Kundalini Yoga started again on Monday, September 9, at 6 p.m. in Tomhaggard Social Centre. This year we are focusing on making sure the body feels safe during our yoga sessions. Yoga is a great way of being a little more flexible in both body and mind. It also brings us inward to meet ourselves and to see where that leads us.

If you've never tried yoga and thinking of joining us the only thing you need to be able to do is get down onto the floor (and off it) and after that it's all systems go. You only do what you're body is able to do. There is no race, no end-line, just you being with your body for that time. Why not try something different this September. It's pay-as-you-go, €5. If you want to phone me please do at 087 2074282, Eleanor. Bring something to lie on and a blanket and cushion.
