Ballycullane: School open night - Ballycullane NS held its annual open night on Wednesday, November 27. All parents, prospective families and community members were most welcome.

GAA club AGM

The Gusserane GAA AGM will take place in the clubhouse on Friday, November 29, at 8 p.m. and will be preceded at 7.30 with Mass for deceased members of the club.

Christmas party

The annual senior citizens party for the parish takes place this year on the afternoon of December 15 at Tír na nÓg in Wellingtonbridge. Music will be provided by the evergreen Jimmy Barnwell and all are welcome. Talk to a member of the Gusserane parish committee if interested in going, or if you want more information.

Lotto

There was no jackpot winner last week when the numbers drawn were 2, 15, 18 and 21. The match-three winners were R & E Lett of Wexford and Chris O'Connor of Burkestown. This week's jackpot stands at €12,200.

Third were Michael Whelan, Luke Power and Larry Power while the LGD went to Johnny Larkin, Jim Kehoe and PJ Doyle. Raffle winners were Margaret O'Neill, Kathleen Cadogan, Johnny Cogley and Tom Corcoran.

Christmas Bakery

St Louis Daycare Centre are holding a Christmas Bakery Fair on Saturday, December 14, between 9 a.m. and noon at their centre in Ramsgrange. Come along and buy your Christmas cakes, puddings and mince pies. Last date for orders is December 13. Phone 051 389509.

Tintern Review

Christmas is coming and the 2019 edition of the Tintern Review is now on sale throughout the area. This year's book features Kettlebells, a WW2 crash, JFKs granny from Cloonagh, GAA including the Parish League of 1985, Soccer, Ploughing, Rowing and many other snippets and photos of local interest.

The price is still only €7 and the local book makes a great Christmas stocking filler. Copies in the Gusserane area are on sale from Rosies Bar, while also available in shops in Ballycullane and St Leonards as well as in Ballycullane PO.

Wednesday Dancing

Dancing has resumed in Gusserane Hall on Wednesday evenings now that the long nights are with us again. All are welcome to come along at 8.30 p.m. each Wednesday to enjoy the music and dancing or to just drop in to have a chat.

Christmas Jumper Night

Campile Area Development is holding a Christmas Jumper Night and Party in Harts on Saturday, December 7, disco and Games and raffle. The group would like to invite anyone who helped during the year.

Craft Fair

There will be a Craft Fair in Campile Hall on December 15 as well as the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights at the World War two Memorial.

GAA lotto

No jackpot winner. Numbers drawn were 2, 10, 18 and 21. Flower Arranging Demo

There will be a Flower Arranging Demonstration by florist Lennie Wall in St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange, on Thursday, November 28, at 7.30 p.m. There will be Pop Up Shops on the night. Ladies' Football

The Ladies' Football Club AGM will be held on Wednesday, November 27, at 8 p.m. in the Indoor Complex. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Vigil Mass in Ballykelly is now celebrated on Saturdays at 6 p.m.

Soccer News

We have a busy month ahead with the upcoming events. On Sunday, December 15, a tractor run will take place in Campile organised by John Hearn in aid of the new stand, starting at 5 p.m. registration from 4 p.m.

St Stephen's Day for the second year running we have our fun run/walk starting at 2 p.m. registration from 1 p.m.,

From early December our yearly 300 club draw tickets will be on sale - an ideal Christmas present. Tickets are €50 each for 12 draws.

Campile Area Development

Campile Development Group Won second Place in the 'Best Heritage Preservation and Conservation Project' with the Campile Bombing Monument, at a Wexford County Council Awards night in Ferrycarrig Hotel.

We would just like to thank all our hard working committee and to all the people of Campile, who have supported us all the way.

(We would also like to thank the 'Campile Historical Society' for part funding and putting up the Campile Bombing Monument) and Wexford County Council for assisting with funding.

Campile area development group would just like to thank everyone that supported our table quiz in Harts. Our total tally for the night was €424. Raffle results as follows. First prize Mary Jo Kent - voucher sponsored by centra Campile. Second prize Celine Wallace - Harts voucher. Third prize James kinsella - Glanbia voucher. Fourth prize Elaine Finn winter leaves flower arrangement done by May Cadogan.

Campile Hall Concert

Irish Folk/Ballad band 'Green Road' will play a concert in Campile Hall on Saturday Night, November 30, at 8 p.m. Expect a night of your favourite Irish songs and lots of singing along. tickets on door.

PJ Sinnott is Green Road's lead vocalist, singing folk songs made popular by the Dubliners, Paul Brady, Christy Moore, Dolores Keane, Jimmy McCarthy etc. And classics from the ballad tradition such as 'Go Lassie Go', 'The Galway Shawl' and 'Sam Hall' and 'The Rare Auld Mountain Dew'. PJ also plays 5-string banjo. Ned Wall plays uilleann pipes and low whistles. Alan O'Dwyer plays mandolin, banjo, harmonica and whistles. Fergal O'Hanlon plays guitar and adds backing vocals. Frank Torpey plays bodhrán, drums and (keyboard) bass.

Winners of the cards in St Leonards hall last wek were; John Sinnott, David Murphy and Georgie Foley. Second prize went to, Michael Murphy, Maureen Eustace and Joan Fardy. Third prize went to, Peter Stafford, Paddy Murray and Tom Culleton. The last game draw winners were Kathleen Cadogan, Luke Power and Willie White. The raffle winners on the night were; Aidan Colfer, Charlie Collins, Seán Colfer and Margaret Cullen. The cards continue every Saturday night at eight. 30 p.m.

Lotto

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern Community lotto draw last weeek. Two ticket holders matched three numbers and each received €100. They were; chris O'Connor, Burkestown and R & E Lett, Wexford. The numbers drawn were 2, 15, 18 and 21. Next week's jackpot is €12,200 and next week's match-three winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members.
