Recently to a packed Wexford Arts Centre five senior students from Coláiste Abbain really did our school proud and obviously themselves and their families also. When Wexford Mental Health Association celebrated the various initiatives, which are presently in County Wexford to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Several Presentations were made throughout the evening including Coláiste Abbain 2016 County winners of the expressions project with 'don't be scared of the dark' The team consisted of transition year students Anthony Flynn, Lisa Hammerl, Megan Butler and Paul Roche, who substituted for Laura Dunne, who had the flu. They were amazingly successful in getting their message across to the audience.

Later Brenda Whelan made an incredible presentation about the various initiatives at at school level which have made such a difference in the lives of our students over the years. Brenda travelled recently with her parents and teacher Ms Wall to Maynooth to compete in the regional heat of the Soroptimist Girls public speaking competition.
