A group of north Louth school children showed their charitable side as they got baking for a good cause last week.
Darragh Clarke (10) led the fundraiser for people arriving in Louth fleeing the war in Ukraine.
His dad Trevor told The Argus “Darragh wanted to do something to help the children from Ukraine living in Dundalk. So together with some of his school friends Gerard Feeley, Sarah Devane, Céile Finnegan and James and Emily Connolly they organised a roadside cake sale in Lordship.”
Tasty cakes, buns and tray bakes were a huge hit with locals and passing motorists who stopped to pick up some treats, and donate to a very worthy cause
“It was a huge success and they raised €1450 which they hope will buy toys for the Ukrainian children in Dundalk” added Trevor
