DkIT awarded €1.3 million for capital investment

DkIT has secured €1.3 million in funding to support a range of capital investment priorities.

Louth TD Fergus O’Dowd welcomed the announcement, saying “The funding announced must be used for key capital investment priorities including supporting universal access to education, energy efficiency and decarbonisation upgrades, general ICT and equipment-related upgrades, health and safety works, building upgrades, minor works and equipment.”

He added: “At a time when Third Level institutions face significant climate challenges this funding will certainly provide DKIT with opportunities to make the campus a greener environment.”

“This €40 million in national funding is part of ongoing investment in the higher education sector under Project Ireland 2040 and reaffirms a strong commitment to public investment in higher education infrastructure.”
