Local Councillor John Sheridan and his partner Dean Moore have said they are delighted with the response to the news that they are to be married in 2023, having announced their engagenent last week.

They revealed the news on social media after a recent trip to Dublin, having first met there in 2018. They both asked each other to get married and they both said yes!

Alongside his Council role, John works in Ardee based health care company Comfort Keepers while Dean works as a Civil Servant in Dublin, but has been working remotely from their home in Louth through lockdown.

“We’re delighted to get engaged and have received so many lovely well wishes of congratulations from family, friends and people throughout the community. Getting to share our good news has been wonderful,” Cllr Sheridan stated.
