Mater Heart and Vascular Clinic opens it doors in Drogheda

THE MATER Private has opened its first external Heart and Vascular Clinic at Crosslanes which means local patients, who would normally have to travel to Dublin, will be able to access to specialist cardiac and vascular services.
The Drogheda Clinic is a collaboration with local consultant cardiologists, Dr. Carmel Halley, Dr. Paul Keelan and Dr. Niamh Murphy. Consultants will carry out routine consultation appointments from their private rooms in the Clinic along with diagnostics tests including ECG, Echocardiogram Stress Test, 24hr Blood Pressure, 24hour Holter Monitoring, 48hour Holter Monitoring and Carotid Ultrasound.
Dr. Paul Keelan, consultant cardiologist, said: ' We are delighted that we can offer a more convenient service to patients in the Louth area while opening up access to the additional expertise and support from our colleagues at the Mater Private Heart and Vascular Centre. This ensures we can provide the highest standard of care to our patients, with the benefit of eliminating the need for them to travel to Dublin for initial consultation and testing.

The Mater Private Heart and Vascular Clinic is open from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendance is by GP or consultant referral and appointment.
