Men’s Shed AGM
The AGM for Tullyallen Men’s Shed took place last week and David ‘Daithi’ Cusack was given a unanimous vote of confidence to continue at the helm of the Men’s Shed at a very well attended AGM. He will be ably assisted by Brendan Ennis who was given the position of Secretary and by Patsy Gregory who filled the Treasurer’s position. They also have what Daithi stated is a great working committee going forward and we are very lucky to have such good men on board. Committee as follows Martin Lane, Peter Murphy, Seamus Byrne, Noel Finnegan, Jim Gavin, Ralph Bull, Ian Belton, Brendan Ennis & Patsy Gregory.
The men’s shed is up and running after Christmas and is already a hive of activity and is always open to new members. Anyone who would like to get on board will be made very welcome. Last Wednesday, there was a great morning of chat, craic and the odd, good shot thrown at the Bowls up at the Glen Emmets clubhouse. Keeping warm was the order of the day as well on a bitterly cold morning and this was no bother to these hardy souls. If you would like to give it a go why not pop along Wednesday mornings at 10am. But if Bowls is not your bag of tricks, the Men’s Shed also offers a variety of activities to choose from, Pool, Bowls, Darts, Cards, Chess, Rings, Draughts, or more importantly a good old chat and a cuppa tea/ coffee/soup etc. You won’t regret making the first move by calling into them. Our lads are friendly and always open to new members. They are open on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10am. Wednesday is Bowls Day from 10am. Workshop & Polycarbonate Tunnel all mornings. Why not pop along and see what it is all about.
