Tidy Towns.

The Monasterboice Tidy Towns people were out in great numbers,in the Tenure area, last week. One of the many areas that they concentrated on was the Community Herb Garden site, a site all locals are invited to, and to maybe pick a herb or two, whilst there. Also, the TT committee would dearly love to have a few more volunteers working on a regular basis, in and around the Tenure area.

Worth noting that, night time diversions on the M1 are taking place from Junction 10 to Junction 18, north bound, and vice versa on the south bound lanes. As J10 is the one north of Drogheda, the diversions are very likely to effect numerous ammount of Monasterboice folk. And, here’s even better news, the diversions are due to last until Oct 1st.

Over the last number of weeks the Naomh Mairtin fundraising committee has been out meeting all players and parents regarding it’s 2022-2025 Club Development fundraiser. It has gotten a great reception from everyone and the majority of people are keen to support the future development of the club, in whatever way they can. Everyone that they have met will have received a flyer with an expression of interest on this flyer.

The committee now need to get commitments of all those interested copper fastened.. Fill in your details on the form and you can hand back in any evening from 6.30-730pm at the club. You will need to have entered this during the month of June in order to be registered for July 1st deadline.

The committe wish to thank all for their support and be assured all proceeds are going towards a bright future for all at Naomh Mairtin

Cul Camp.

Last reminder that The Mairtin’s will be hosting this year’s Cul Camp from Monday next, 4th July to Friday 8th.

Tour Guides wanted.

Proud of the parish that we are so privileged to live in. So proud that you would like to tell the word about it. Well you can, literally, if you volunteer as a Summer Tour Guide at the world famous monastic site at Monasterboice graveyard. There are lots of free slots to be filled, no experience is needed and if anybody would like to join, they just need to contact any current member. The summer months are usually covered and any few hours that people could lend a hand would be great..
