Healthy Club Event

We had fantastic representation from St Pats GAA club, community and beyond for our finale 5K run on Saturday Morning last. The St Pats Healthy Clubs committee was delighted to run this 10-week Couch to 5K initiative with the expert help of Michelle Greaney. Thank you for your time and encouragement Michelle! We are delighted to have so many enjoying running and getting fitter despite the winter weather!! Many of you are now hoping to continue that fitness with weekly running meet ups. Thanks so much to Tralee Park Run for welcoming us to this fantastic free event. Many of us were first timers and are delighted to have this facility to keep us motivated! The rain didn’t stop the running enthusiasm but unfortunately curtailed the saturated runners going for well- earned treats afterwards! After the hot showers you should all be very proud of yourselves and hopefully inspired to continue healthy habits whatever the weather!! We looked forward to our Healthy clubs Operation Transformation walking series in January. All welcome!

Derryquay Fundraiser

We are doing a clothes collection for SVDP, if anyone is doing a wardrobe clearance before Nov 30th, we will be delighted to take any preloved items. Contact Irene to arrange collection 0871233254. Thank you for the community’s continued support for our school.

Rosary at Rath

Please be aware that this year Rosary at Rath will take place at 3pm on Tuesday Afternoons not Tuesday Nights when it normally took place.

On Sunday last, we played the quarter final of the Tralee/St Brendan’s at John Mitchells GAA grounds, with cold conditions Ballymac led scoring with two points, Conor Enright put two of his own points on the board. Two more points were added by the opposition with Fergal O Brien getting one for us. Ballymac got a point, but David O Callaghan and Fergal O Brien added a point each, two more points from Ballymac. Fergal O Brien was last score in this half with Ballymac adding one last point before the half finished. St Pats 0-06 Ballymac 1-07

Four unanswered points from Ballymac at the beginning of this half, Liam O Sullivan broke this momentum with a point of his own. With 2 goals and four more points added with great opposition from St Pats players, Ballymac pulled away. David O Callaghan got a point, Ballymac added another three points. The last scores came from us with points from David O Callaghan, Shane Jordan and Darragh Moriarty. The game finished St Pats 0-11 to Ballymac 3-18

Annual General Meeting

The club AGM was held on Friday evening at Kerins ORahillys clubhouse. The senior officers reported on their activities during the year while a summary of the reports of the other officers was read out. The various reports highlighted many activities during the clubs 10th anniversary year.

It was interesting to note that it was a year for a number of firsts for the club. The U15s earned the first All-Ireland medals for the club as Division 3 Feile naGaeil champions, the first North Kerry U21 Championship win, the first adult silverware in winning the South Kerry Championship as well as winning the first Scór na nÓg County title.

It was noted that the recent opening of Ball Wall at Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn where Parnells will have access after school hours will be invaluable to the club in 2023.

The Chairperson confirmed that Parnells have been granted a license to use the pitch at the Sports Complex. While some work remains to be done the pitch should be available for our academy players for 2023. The pitch will be known as Parc na Darach.

During the year the club Lotto was successfully launched and now takes place every two weeks. We also launched our club website where visitors on the web can find out everything about the club. It was agreed not to increase the registration fees for 2023 while an option will be added for members to renew their membership by subscribing to the club lotto.

The following officers were elected for 2023: President Rory Kerins Chairperson (Senior) Stephen Buttimer Chairperson (Juvenile) Dermot Reen Vice Chairperson/Chairperson Camogie Lynda Murphy Harris and Aine Culloty Vice Chairperson (Camogie), Katie Trant Secretary (Hurling), Ger Donnellan Secretary (Camogie) Claire Salmon Secretary (Juvenile) David Brick Treasurer (Hurling) Gerard O’Connell Treasurer (Camogie) Katie Trant PRO (Camogie) Sean O’Mahoney Registrars: Kieran Fitzgerald and Grainne Joy Development & Facilities Officer Carmel O’Shea-Maloney Health & Wellbeing Officer Diarmuid Brennan Children’s Officer (Hurling) Agnes Sheehy Children’s Officer (Camogie) Caroline Somers Coaching & Games Officer (Hurling) Colm O’Brien Coaching & Games Officer (Camogie) Diarmuid Brennan Culture & Irish Language Officers Damien Kissane County Board Delegate (Hurling) Dermot Reen North Kerry Board Delegate Dermot Reen Coiste Na nÓg Delegate Dermot Reen County Board Delegates (Camogie) Claire Salmon

The position of Hurling PRO remains vacant. If anybody is interested please contact any member of the club Executive. The reports from all officers and team mangers will be available on the club website in the coming days.

The next draw will take place on Monday evening of this week at 8pm. For just €5 you can be in with three chances of winning the jackpot of €1000. Two lucky dip winners will receive €25. Play via the Clubforce app or follow the link at All support is greatly appreciated, thank you.

U-16 National Cup Rd 3

Dynamos 3 0 Pike Rovers. Our boys advanced to Rd 4 with a deserving 3 nil victory over the Limerick side. What turned out to be a very physical game, our football won out on the day with some outstanding passages of play throughout Second half goals from winger Gavin Casey and substitute Ryan O Driscoll with a brace saw Dynamos win out. Best on the day were Shay Kelliher, Liam Cooper in goals, Matthew Rogers and Alex Tuohy in midfield and Fionn Ó Dalaigh.

U-12 National Cup Rd 4

Our U-12s progressed to the last 32 of the competition against a very good Abbeyfeale side winning eventually 5-4 on penalties as the game finished one all after extra time. Eddie Carmody was our goalscorer and we created the better chances particularly in extra time. Eddie, Luca, Billy, Luke and Ben all scored in the penalty shoot out and then Ben proceeded to save Abbeyfeales last penalty. Well done to all involved.

U-12 League

Our 12s second team were 3-2 winners over near neighbours Park FC with William , Corey and Luke scoring Dynamos goals and despite a strong Park comeback, we held on in the end for victory

U-11 League

Dynamos U-11 took on LB Rovers last Saturday where we passed and moved the ball with conviction when we went one up early in the game. All players including all our substitutes were determined to show their worth. By half time Dynamos were 5 goals to the good and proceeded to add to this tally in the second half. A genuine convincing performance. Well done to all.

Munster Junior Cup

Dynamos 1 2 Killarney Celtic AET. We bowed out of this season’s competition with a 2-1 loss to the Killarney side last Sunday. Played in difficult conditions, Dynamos showed a marked improvement on our previous outing against Celtic. The backline of Nemanja, David R, Shane G and Chick Foley were defensively very solid and Ger Mc and Shane Lowth were both a constant threat upfront. We took an early lead when Darragh Lowth scored from the penalty spot only for Celtic to equalise just before half-time. The second half was a close fought encounter and the game went to extra time where Celtic scored the winner from close range close to the death. A much improved performance from Dynamos. Dynamos Senior B

We continued our winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Ballymac last Sunday morning with John O Brien, John Farragher and Billy Clifford on the scoresheet.
