Quinn leaves Fulham to return home
PAUDIE Quinn is back in his native town of Listowel after a 12 months scholarship with Fulham. Quinn signed for the London club last year and made several appearances with the youth team as well being capped with the Republic of Ireland under-17 team.
However, the Listowel teenager found it hard to settle to city life in London and has decided to return to Kerry, and played for Tralee Dynamos in the League of Ireland U-20 League at the weekend.
Meanwhile, former Tralee Dynamos player Brian Fitzgerald, who moved to Pennsylvania University on a scholarship earlier this summer, is back in Tralee on a break and will decide in the next few days about his future in the US. Quinn received a lot of media attention last year when he was signed on with the Craven Cottage club and has made many appearances with the youth team and has also made a number of appearances with the Republic of Ireland under 17 team.
However, the Listowel lad found it hard to settle to city life in London and with home sickness prevailing he has decided to come back home again.
He played with Tralee Dynamos in the League of Ireland under-20 league on Saturday but had to retire injured after a very dangerous tackle. His injury will rule him out for two weeks.
