Junior Cup wins for St Brendan's Park and Killarney Athletic

UMBRO FAI JUNIOR CUP Ballingarry 1 St Brendan's Park 2 THE Park travelled to West Limerick and came home with smiles as broad as Tralee Bay after defeating Ballingarry in dramatic circumstances.

It a close tense tie scoring chances were at a premium but the home side went ahead 2 minutes from the interval with a well taken goal ny Marcus Moore. The Park fough back hard in the second half and they were rewarded in the 81st minute when Con Barrett scored the equaliser.

Tension was high as they game trickled into added time and it looked as if extra time was on the horizon. However the game was decided in the 91st minute when Mark O'Sullivan found the net.

Park now progress to the fourth round of the competition where they will meet the winners of Ennis Rock Rovers or Tralee Dynamos so an all Kerry clash is a distinct possibility. Killarney Athletic 4 Mastergeeha 2

KILLARNEY Athletic hosted neighbours Mastergeeha in an all Kerry clash and after a good contest Athletic progressed. Their goalscorers were Denis Glavin, Lucas Polack, Shane Bunyan and Timmy O'Sullivan while Adam Reilly scored both of Mastergeeha's goals.

They now travel to Clare in the next round meeting the winners of Bridge United v Avenue United whose game was postponed.
