Development programmes conclude

THE Under 14 and Under 16 development programmes concluded in Mounthawk in Tralee on Saturday.

Huge improvement was shown by all players who committed to the programme. The purpose of the programme was to focus on the skills and match play situtations. It began in mid October and both squads played in the Munster blitz in Mallow and the Under 13 squad played Limerick in a number of challenge games. The players will now take a well earened break and then it will be back to a series of trials for the county Under 14, Under 16 and minor panels.

Managers will be ratified at a special county board meeting in Kerins O'Rahillys clubhouse on January 7.

A special word of thanks to our brilliant coaches Connie O'Connor, Gordon Kerins, Nora O'Connor, Joanne Brosnan, John Doona and Jobie Costello. Also thanks to the clubs and colleges who provided the pitches for training, Mounthawk, Rathmore, Kerins O'Rahillys, Na Gaeil and Desmonds. Páidí Ó Sé THE officers, members and players of Kerry ladies football wish to express their deep sympathy to Páidí's wife Maire, children Padraig, Siun and Neasa, his brother Tomas, nephews and the extended Ó Sé family on this sad occasion. Meeting THE first meeting of the new year for the Kerry Ladies County Board will take place in Kerins O'Rahillys clubrooms on Monday, Janaury 7. All club delegates are asked to attend.

Finally may I wish everyone a peaceful and happy Christmas.
