Paddy Neilan to referee Kerry’s All-Ireland semi-final against Dublin

Paddy Neilan will referee Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-final between Kerry and Dublin in Croke Park, the GAA has confirmed.

The Roscommon official was the man on the whistle for the 2017 National League Division 1 Final between the counties, a game Kerry won by 0-20 to 1-16.

Earlier this season the St. Faithleach’s clubman was the referee for Kerry’s League match against Monaghan in Inniskeen. He has been on the whistle for a number of high-profile games this year, including the Leinster SFC final between Dublin and Kildare, the Ulster SFC game between Derry and Tyrone, the Connacht U-20 football final between Mayo and Sligo, and the NFL Division 1 game between Donegal and Armagh.

Neilan has also refereed Kerry against Donegal in their 2019 Super 8 game in Croke Park and was in charge of the 2017 Munster Final between Kerry and Cork in Killarney.

Kildare’s Brendan Cawley will referee Saturday’s semi-final between Derry and Galway.
