Club Senior Development Team: Kerry Co. Board Developmental League Division 2 Semi-Final Ballymacelligott 2-12 Kilcummin 1-14
Following a blistering first 15 minutes (having scored 2-03) of the second half, Ballymacelligott Dev Team defeated Kilcummin by the narrowest margin of one point on Friday night last.
Kilcummin got off to a great start in this game played in Ballymacelligott on a glorious evening for football. Kilcummin led from a goal as the opening score and scored another six points to give them a good lead by 1-06 to 0-02 with fifteen minutes gone. It looked glum for the home side. The young team never lost heart and resolutely stook to their task and narrowed the margin to 0-06 to 1-08 at halftime
Two points and two fine-taken goals after 6 minutes gave great hope to the home side. With fifteen minutes to go Ballymac led 2-09 to 1-11.
The final quarter was as exciting as it gets. Kilcummin levelled with a point, Ballymac scored a point. Kilcummin scored two points. Once again, the Ballymac lads did not panic they continued on and scored two points to win by a single point.
Winning this game was great. Even better was the grit and determination shown by this young team when all seemed lost. We now await the time, date and venue for the final which is provisionally fixed for the first weekend in July

School Blitz: A great morning of football was had for our parish schools Senior classes blitz on Friday morning. While the sun failed to shine, it did not stop all the boys and girls putting on some excellent displays of skill and team work throughout the games. A huge thanks to the schools and their staff for supporting both the Junior blitz in April, and the Senior blitz this Friday. Hopefully it will strengthen the link between our schools and the club going forward, and will happen on an annual basis.
A big thanks also to our sponsors for the Senior Blitz, Office and Ink Supplies. Please support at any opportunity.
Well done everyone. Ballymac Abú.
Our U13 blue boys hosted An Gaeltacht this evening for the County league div 3 semi-final. The game was hotly contested with both sides playing some lovely free flowing football. At half time it was all level at 2 - 2. Ballymac came out all fired up at half time and built up a 3-point lead but the visitors were dogged and drew back level again. It was a tough physical battle and, in the end, An Gaeltacht ran our winners 0-08 to 0-06.
Our boys can hold their heads high after tonight’s game - they have improved massively over the past few months. We wish Jack Collins a speedy recovery from his injury tonight.
We played Dr Crokes last Thursday 16th June in Ballymac. The gold team displayed some superb skills and great teamwork. The passing between the boys was just brilliant and earned them plenty of goals and points. 3 players Shane, Jack and Conor were called up from U9s and were a credit to their coaches. It was a great evening of football. Many thanks to Dr Crokes for travelling over to us and thanks to the parents for all their support. We play Listowel Emmets next Thursday the 23rd June away.
We would like to thank Paudie McCarthy of ELECO services for their kind sponsorship towards the cost of footballs for the boys.
Our u 9 s travelled to Listry to take on the locals in the u 9 Go Games. This was one of the best displays by both the u 8 and u 9 teams all year. Some of the team play was just a joy to watch, with some great skill execution. Certainly the hard work at training on Sunday mornings is coming to fruition. We encourage all players to keep practicing their skills at home as we look forward to our upcoming games against Currow and SPA.
On Sunday 12th June our U-10 girls entered two teams in the LGFA blitz at Fossa GAA pitch. Both teams performed brilliantly against multiple opposition and a fantastic day was had by all. Many thanks to Kerry LGFA for organizing, Fossa GAA for hosting and all 22-participating club for making it a great day.

BEALE SENIORS: Beale seniors were defeated by Keel on Sunday in the County League, Division 4. We were on the back foot from the throw-in and trailed by 0-2 to 1-7 at the short whistle. We found it difficult to come to terms with our opponents as our defence tried to soak up the pressure. Keel added two further goals in the second half and the writing was on the wall for us. The final score read: Beale 0-8, Keel 3-9.
We now rank eighth on the table, with four wins from nine games. A vital game when we travel to play Cromane on Saturday evening. They sit just below us on the table. Throw in is at 7 o’clock. Our final round game will be against Austin Stacks B in July.
BEALE JUNIORS: Beale juniors contest Division 4A of the North Kerry League. Our first-round game is on Tuesday against Tarbert in Páirc de Staic at 7.30. We travel to Ballyduff on Tuesday, June 28th. The other teams in this division are Moyvane and Clounmacon.

SENIOR: The round 9 back game with Ballyduff was played last Sunday where the lads were at home in Finuge. A low scoring and tight affair throughout, saw Finuge leading at halftime by the minimum 0-05 to 0-4. Finuge would go on to rue several good scoring chances for both goals and points, eventually going down by 0-10 to 0-09. This leaves them mid table in seventh place with two more rounds left to play. Next up is an away game to Laune Rangers B, set for this Saturday at 7pm.
U15: Our boys return to action with the North Kerry league against Moyvane at home this Wednesday, June 22nd.
U13: The county league semifinal was played at home on Sunday evening against Beaufort. This was a close encounter from the start with our boys having to fight back from a slow start to go in leading at halftime by four points. The second half continued along the same vein, but with Beaufort striking for two goals late on, the pressure was on! Our lads worked really hard and ate into their lead, however it proved too much and came up just short in the end. This team have been immense all year, winning every game in every competition up to this and have earned a well-deserved break for a couple of weeks.
U11: Well done to our U13s who were on the road again last week with a trip to Dingle. We fielded two teams and both did really well with some great interplay and off the ball movement. Thank you to our parents who are always available to help out with setup and travel to support the children. Next up is an away game to Ballydonoghue/Clounmacon this Thursday.
U9: Our U90s are on the road this week with an away game to Castleisland Desmonds - best of luck boys and girls and enjoy the games! Meantime training continues on Wednesday evenings.

U13s County League semi-final result: Tarbert 2-08, Rathmore 3-10. Hard luck to our U13s who lost by 5 points to Rathmore on Sunday evening in Tarbert. Tarbert played against the breeze in the first half and trailed Rathmore 1-06 to 0-04 at half time, with Tarbert’s scores coming from Gavin Denihan (0-02), Ryan Browne (0-01) and Shea Culhane (0-01). Rathmore started well in the second half and extended their lead to 7 points before points from Fionn Egan (0-01) and Dylan Buckley (0-01) reduced the margin between the two sides. A goal from Rathmore midway through the 2nd half again extended the away sides lead. A pin point pass found Tarbert’s Dylan Buckley on the edge of the square and he reduced the deficit to 4 points with a goal for Tarbert. However, a mistake in the Tarbert defence shortly after allowed Rathmore in for their 3rd goal. Tarbert pushed on late in the game and further points from Gavin Denihan (0-01) and Ryan Browne (0-01) and a superb goal from a free from Michael Finucane reduced the deficit to 5 points but it wasn’t enough as Rathmore won on a score line of Tarbert 2-08, Rathmore 3-10.
