After Spa’s scintillating performance in their victory over Beaufort in the delayed 2020 county intermediate football championship final, the frissons of excitement could be felt, not only in the East Kerry club, but in several other interested parties around the county.

The resultant progression of Ivor Flynn’s charges into the senior ranks for 2021 is a wonderful achievement for the club itself, but it opens up the possibility of a much more intriguing battle for the Bishop Moynihan Cup due to the consequential impact it will have on the divisional side.
