Killorglin Comhaltas

The Killorglin Comhaltas has been quiet over the last year but we are looking forward to getting active again in the Spring. We are inviting anyone who is interested seeing Dance/Music classes, Sessions, Rambling Houses and similar events get up and running or who has any suggestions of their own on the promotion of Irish Culture to come along to a public meeting in The Seanscoil in Killorglin on Saturday Jan 22nd at 8pm. Many congratulations to Aoibheann Twiss Di Marco and her husband Gavin Di Marco on the arrival of their little boy James Di Marco, wishing you all many years of happiness from everyone at the club. Gavin does the lining of our pitch at Milltown/Castlemaine GAA with Matt Edwards.

James is also grandchild of proud grandparents Brendan Twiss our clubs former chairman and his wife Josephine who gave many years as our clubs registrar. James will be minded well to by Uncle Jerome Twiss who has done a huge amount of work on the clubs new development project. Many thanks and congratulations again to the whole family.

AGM - A reminder to all our club members of our upcoming A.G.M. on Friday 28th January 2022 at 6pm in Nagle Rice Community Centre. Due to Covid-19, mask wearing and covid certificate will be required for attendance at the A.G.M. We will be monitoring H.S.E. Covid guidelines and if there are any changes, we will inform all our members closer to the date.

Colaiste Na Sceilge Parent’s Council raffle

We send a huge Thank You to everybody who has bought tickets so far. The raffle runs until 25th January on

Funds are for a Wellbeing Walkway to benefit all the Community. 12 Prizes, worth almost €1000, include a stay at Dingle Skellig Hotel, cruises around Skelligs and other outdoor and indoor ‘Experiences’ to enjoy in the Spring and Summer.


GAA Lotto

There was no winner of this week’s jackpot of €4,600. The numbers drawn were: 2, 5, 7 and 15. The lucky dip winners were: €50 Kathleen Walsh Laharn South, €30 David Lyons Killoe, €20 Michael Corkery Cahersiveen. Next week’s jackpot will be €4,650. Tickets can be purchased at the usual price of €2 each or 3 for €5 from all the usual places. Thanks to everyone for their continued support of our lotto.
