Ring Of Kerry Charity Cycle

“Cúnamh Iveragh are delighted to be selected as one of the main beneficiaries of this year’s Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle. This event will take place on Saturday July 2nd 2022 by registering and cycling for Cúnamh Iveragh you can help raise crucial funds for our Respite project in Cahirciveen which will cater for young adults with intellectual disabilities. St Mary’s/Renard GAA

Congratulations to our U15s who won the County Final last week in Dromid.

They had a hard fought game against their opponents Glenbeigh Glencar Cromane, only a few minutes left and the game was level. A long distance free from Alex Kelly and a last minute goal from Daithi Sugrue finished the game on a scoreline of 5-10 to 3-12!

Well done to all the players and their management of Johnny Griffin and Darcy O’Connell. Thank you also to Dermot Walsh Walsh’s Supervalu Cahersiveen for treating all the lads to Kevy’s Fast Foods after the game.


Congratulations to Donie O Sullivan for flying the flag for South Kerry once again with his live broadcast on CNN from Cahersiveen. He is a fantastic ambassador for our town.

Daffodil Day 2022 was very successful this year. The total amount of monies collected on the day was €6,619.27. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our volunteers and to all the very generous people who have continued to support this charity over the past 35 years.

Rita O’ Callaghan (née Sugrue) Glosha, Cromane, Killorglin died peacefully in the presence of her loving family at University Hospital Kerry on the 13th May.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy. Rita will be sadly missed by her sons: Seán, Miceál & Cieran, daughters-in-law: Anna, Anne & Mary, grandchildren: Grainne, Gearoid, Aoife, Eamon, Paddy, Maebdh & Jack, great-grandchildren: Peadar, Fionnán & Daíthí, nephews, nieces, relatives and many dear friends. Reposed at Flynn’s Funeral Home Killorglin on Sunday from 8.00pm to 9.30pm. Removal took place on Monday to The Star of the Sea Church, Cromane, for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in Reilig Realt na Mara, Cromane. May she rest in peace. Ar Dheis Dhia go raibh a hainm dilis.
