Shock death of GAA kitman Vincent Linnane
Kerry's National League final win over Dublin last Sunday has been tempered by the unexpected death of the team's kit man and Austin Stack Park caretaker Vincent Linnane, who died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday afternoon.
A native of Kiltimagh in Mayo, Vincent moved to Ballyduff in the 1980s where he became entrenched in Kerry GAA in the intervening years and was a well-known face to all GAA followers in the county.
A member of the Ballyduff GAA club, he became Stack Park groundsman in 1989 and was in Croke Park on Sunday as kit man to the Kerry football squad.
He is survived by his wife Noreen, sons, daughters, relations and many friends.
