Sean Kelly's father dies at his home near Killarney

COMMUNITIES in Kilcummin, Fossa and further afield were this week rallying around the Kelly family following the death of Pádraig Kelly, aged 87.

Father of former GAA President and Kerry South MEP Seán Kelly, the local farmer died in his sleep at his Gortroe, Fossa, home on Tuesday morning. He had moved there in 1976 with his wife Hannah (nee O'Connor), having previously moved from Clashnagarrane and subsequently Knockataggle in Kilcummin.

Reposing Wednesday from 3.30pm to 6.30pm in O'Shea's Funeral Home, Killarney, followed by removal to Fossa Parish Church for Requiem Mass at 7.30pm. Final Prayers on Thursday at 11am and burial afterwards in Old Kilcummin Cemetery.
