Rita and Dáithi welcome son on St Patrick's Day
ROSE of Tralee host and Cill Chuáin native Dáithí Ó Sé and his beautiful wife Rita Talty welcomed a new arrival on St Patrick's Day with the birth of their son Mícheál Óg.
Weighing in at a healthy 8lbs 15oz, Mícheál Óg Ó Sé was born in Galway at 11.31am on St Patrick's Day morning with Dáithí reporting that mother and baby are both doing well.
Dáithí told The Kerryman afterwards that both he and Rita, who was the 2008 New Jersey Rose, were absolutely delighted.
"I'm just so in love with the little guy ... I feel like I known him all my life," he said.
Mícheál Óg is named after Dáithí's late father, author and musician Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé, who sadly passed away on August 29 last year.
