Prestigious award for Killarney's Padraig at hotel awards in Kildare

A Killarney hotelier was honoured at the Les Clefs d'Ors Ireland Awards Night in the K Club on Saturday night.

Padraig Casey, the Head Concierge at the Killarney Park Hotel, received one of the biggest prizes and applause on the night when he was named as the winner of the "Jimmy Connor Award" for Concierge of The Year 2019.

"The Killarney Park Hotel is proud to have 4 members wearing the world renowned 'Golden Keys' and we are delighted to see Padraig's hard work & dedication being rewarded by his peers on Saturday night" said General Manager of the Killarney Park hotel, Ms Niamh O'Shea.

"Putting the Guest first is our top priority here at The Killarney Park Hotel and Padraig certainly embodies that spirit and it is gratifying to see this being recognised by his industry colleagues" continued Ms O'Shea.

Les Clefs d'Or (translated as 'The Golden Keys') is a professional association of hotel concierges, with approximately 4000 members working in over 80 countries and 530 destinations, in literally every corner of the world.

The Ireland branch has over 40 members from 25 hotels.
