'Comfort For Chemo', the new charity in Kerry to help develop cancer services in the county, received a welcome  boost at the  end of December.

Students and staff from Presentation Secondary School in Tralee raised an impressive €1,200 for the charity from their 'Cookies For Chemo' event held last month.

The event was organised by 'Comfort For Chemo' on December 1. It saw students baking cookies and holding a sale in the school to help raise funds for a standalone chemotherapy unit. Cllr Mikey Sheehy and Mary Fitzgerald were on hand to receive the cheque from the school on behalf of the charity.
