Vintage vehicles of all shapes and sizes will be faced for Knocknagoshel on Saturday, August 17th for the 6pm start of village's second vintage run.

Vintage motorbikes, cars and tractors are all invited to take part in the run.

"Last year was the first year of this particular event and it was a huge success with up to 100 cars and tractors taking part and we raised over €1600 for Down Syndrome Kerry," said co-organiser and local supermarket proprietor, Kieran McAuliffe.

This year's chosen charity is the Pediatric Diabetes Department in University Hospital Limerick. Parking and registration will take place from 5pm in the field at the rear of Walsh's Bar.

The run will leave from the village at 6pm and will travel around Knocknagoshel and beyond before heading back to the village for some refreshments.

There will be prizes for the best turned out vintage car, tractor and motorbike.

There will also be a raffle which will have prizes sponsored by Walsh's Bar, Kieran's XL and Garvey's SuperValu.

All welcome on the evening and all donations will be greatly appreciated. For all event enquires please contact 087 97 14 255.
