The hard work of both Go Kerry and Kerry County Council received a well deserved shot in the arm last Tuesday evening after 22 'trike bike' enthusiasts rocked up to the Meadowlands Hotel in Tralee.

It was a visit two years in the making after the team at Go Kerry and Kerry County Council had a chance meeting with the 'Trikes and Fun' company while they  were at a travel fair in Stuttgart, representing The Kingdom.

As a result of this meeting and after hearing about just some of what Kerry had to offer as a tourist destination, the seed of a visit to Kerry was planted and now just over two years later, the result of that hard work came to fruition.

Last week saw a group of 22 'trikers' travelling around Kerry and providing an added economic boost for businesses in the area - pending four nights in Tralee and Killarney - and even taking a spin out to West Kerry, taking in the stunning sights of the Ring of Kerry drive.

One of their final stops on their tour was at the Meadowlands where Grace O'Donnell of Go Kerry and Mayor of Tralee Jim Finucane were on hand to welcome them to the capital with Jim and Grace eagerly grabbing their chance to pose on  the bikes.

Trikers speaking last Tuesday said that they were very much enjoying their stay in Kerry.
