It would be a sin to miss The Wart
SEVEN deadly sins will have Duagh up in a heap at the weekend as the parish stages new play The Wart - firmly in the spirit of its raucous prequel The Pimple which brought the house down in April.
Theatre-going north Kerry has been screaming for more from the Muingwee Scribe -- the mysterious playwright behind the belly-laughs -- ever since The Pimple..
Their wait is nearly at an end as the Duagh players prepare to bring it all to colourful life at Duagh National Schooll hall on Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18, next att 8. 30pm each night.
Taking the seven deadly sins as the theme the Muingwe Scribe has done it again by all accounts.
"I'' ve been observing the rehearsals now for some time and I think it is safe to say that not since Dante's Inferno have the seven deadlly siins been pre-sented so bolldlly!!" Parish Priest Fr Patt Moore said.
Gluttony, sloth, lust, anger, greed, pride and envy ( allso known as the Cardinal Sins) are laid bare in The Wart -- as seven differ-ent characters, each afflicted by one of the sins, take part in ther-apy at a very special clinic in Listowell.
The Wart will also be performed in St John's, Listowel, on Thursday,, November 22, Friiday, November 23 and Sunday, November 25.
