The Glórach Theatre in Abbeyfeeale has announced its closure until March 29 to comply with the government’s emergency measures to combat Co-ViD19.

Following the government issuing strong restrictions on social gatherings last week in an effort to combat the spread of CoViD-19, the Glórach Theatre in Abbeyfeale has made the decision to close its doors until further notice.

In a statement on their Facebook page, they released the following message:

"Out of an abundance of caution and with the well-being and safety of the Public and Glórach's own volunteers very much to the forefront of our minds, we have taken the decision to close the Glórach Theatre, Abbeyfeale with effect from 3pm today, March 12th and to remain closed until further notice,"

"We will advise all users when we consider that it is safe to re-open the Theatre," it said.

As part of the government's directive, all indoor mass gatherings of more than 100 and outdoor of more than 500 to be cancelled and all cultural events/buildings are to close until at least March 29.
