Dromtrasna undertakes challenge for two vital causes

A West Limerick community is enjoying a massive response to an annual charity run this year as hundreds have already signed up for the Dromtrasna Challenge 2019.

Setting out from Dromtrasna National School on Saturday, October 19, next it will see participants opting for a choice of five routes.

In doing so they will be taking part in a wonderful charity challenge that has already raised over €66k for important causes in the past five years; this year the Dromtrasna Challenge is being undertaken in support of the Milford Care Centre and the St Ita's Day Care Centre in Abbeyfeale.

The voluntary group behind the event say they are committed to providing a fun-filled family-oriented event 'that will inspire and ignite all that is good in the human spirit.'

They're also keen the event becomes known for its professionalism, with organisers offering chip timing for the 5k and 10k runs. Cups will be presented to the first man and woman home.
