Colaiste na Sceilge TY students cook up a storm
THE Transition Year Home Economics class in Colaiste na Sceilge were busy in the kitchen at the Apprentice Chef project organised by IT Tralee recently and are now looking forward to the final on March 28 at the ITT.
Students were asked to complete a project and cook a main course using fresh locally sourced ingredients for the competition, which aims to steer students towards eating a healthier and more balanced diet that will improve their mental and physical health.
Caoimhe O'Sullivan and Jackie Clifford, both from Waterville, represented Colaiste na Sceilge. Caoimhe cooked Crabmeat Tagliatelle with Garlic Bread and Jackie cooked Quiche with Sundried Tomatoes and Thai Salad.
Good luck to both girls in the final.
