Calling partners in slime for kids? TV show

THE Ladies beach in Ballybunion will be a hive of activity on Tuesday, August 14, as renowned children?s cartoon network, Nickelodeon, will be televising its popular show ?Slime across the UK and Ireland? live from the beach.

Children from the area are being asked to gather with as many friends as possible on the day to be part of the live audience, which will be hosted on the beach by TV presenter Laura Hamilton and comedian ?Ugly Mark? Felgate.

A spokesperson for the show explained that Mark and Laura will be out and about in Ballybunion with the Nickelodeon ?slime mobile? meeting lots of kids and celebrities who are eager to get messy and have fun. Each daily show features four children who spend two hours being slime students ? complete with lab coats and protective goggles. They must each stand in the slime shower and try to make a faultless speech. Of course, for every stumble the kids get slimed. The best slime pictures from each venue will be shown on air and participants can win a selection of prizes.? Viewers of the TV show will be able to interact live by using the internet. Because plenty of audience participation is needed for the show, producers are calling on as many fun loving children as possible to come to the Ladies Beach in Ballybunion on the day and take part in what promises to be a fun-filled day. Representatives from Nickelodeon are currently finalising the full details with Kerry County Council and an exact time of filming will be made available locally in the coming days.
