Kerry is on display for the whole world to see this week, as over 600 of the world's top travel bloggers and social media influencers have made their way to the INEC in Killarney for the TBEX Europe conference.

TBEX Europe, which is the largest gathering of travel bloggers, writers and content creators on the continent, kicked off on Tuesday and runs until Thursday, October 5.

The conference is a major coup for local tourism interests and the 'influencers' and 'creators' attending this week have a combined reach of over 380 million travel fans on their respective platforms.

Hundreds attending will be brought on a number of trips along the Wild Atlantic Way, where they will be showcasing Kerry and Ireland to their millions of followers.

Opening the event, a special meet and greet reception was held in Dromquinna Manor, Kenmare.

"When we consider the scale of their audiences, hosting these delegates is a unique opportunity for us to increase Ireland's digital footprint and reinforce the many reasons why Ireland should be a destination of choice for these influencers and their followers," said Fáilte Ireland CEO Paul Kelly.

With the support of the Kerry Convention Bureau and Killarney Chamber, a number of locally based Killarney day 'experiences' have also been organised, including visits to the newly opened Killarney House and Gardens, photography workshops, guides walks and cycles through Killarney National park and Irish dancing lessons.
