Workshop on climate change and biodiversity

An introductory workshop on climate change and biodiversity will take place at The River Island Hotel, Castleisland, on December 4 from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

The workshop is aimed at local groups and national organisations with a view to broadening awareness and understanding of the impacts of climate change and to learn strategies of specific interest to them.

The special three-hour session will give an overview of the choices and actions regarding biodiversity, food, energy, transport, water, and the impact of waste on the natural biodiversity systems.

The workshops will also focus on 'practical visioning' exercises with the aim of building local resilience to external difficulties caused by climate change.

Provision of resources and practical approaches will inform the participants about developing climate change resilience an practical biodiversity solutions. To register, email:
