Sisters and their musical friends get huge public support in fund-raiser for Michael

It was a winning sister act when Emma and Grace Ní hIfearnáin took to the streets of Listowel and Ballybunion this week alongside scores of their musical Comhaltas friends. Together, they raised €3,200 in total in the Music for Michael events, held outside Supervalus in Listowel and Ballybunion.

The sisters came up with the idea to help their little friend and fellow Gaelscoil Lios Tuathail pupil Michael Beasley, who suffers from condition pulmonary fibrosis. Michael has to carry an oxygen supply with him.

The girls thanked all their pals in Comhaltas branches in North Kerry as well as the organisation for making it all possible, not to mention all who contributed in the four hours' playing.
