Gaelscoil Faithleann to hold Jack and Jill charity walk

A group of fourth-class pupils at Gaelscoil Faithleann in Killarney will hold a fund-raising walk in aid of the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation this coming Sunday, June 16, having collaborated with the school's parents' council. The walk begins at midday from Ross Castle, and Parents' Council Chairperson Mary Carroll said she has been deeply impressed by the children's efforts to organise the event.

"The children have been so enthusiastic and dedicated to planning the walk," she said. "It's great to see children take the initiative and support a cause to help make a difference.

"All donations on the day will go directly to support the great work of the Jack and Jill Foundation. The walk will leave at 12pm, and will follow the circular route towards town via the river walk and back to the car park, where there will be refreshments", she added. A 'lucky dip' raffle will also be held following the event.
