Currow Ladies Football Club: The past few weeks have been very busy for the Club. On Sunday may 26th our Under 16 Team played Austin Stacks in the last round of the League before the Exams. On the night we had only 11 players andStacks chose to play 13 players against us which made it very difficult for ourv girls but they still put up afantastic display even though they lost on a final score of 4-11 to 1-02.

Our Under 12 team travelled to Dingle on Monday May 27th to play the local girls and scored their 2nd win in the County League whenafter a magnificent performancetheyran out 2-16 to 1-02 winnerson a very wet and windy night.

We would like to thank Dingle for changing the Date of the Match for us and also for the much appreciated refreshments they put on for us after the Game.

On Friday last May 31st we played Finugue/St Senans in the Currow, and had to field a very weakened team due to School swimming, but the girls that played put up a great performance agaiunst their much stronger opponents and were unlucky to loose on a final scoreof Finugue/St Senans 5-05 Currow 2-06.

Our Under 14 girls had another fantastic win in Division 2 of the County League when they travelled to Ballyduff and had a 5-05 to 4-07, 1 point win after a most entertaining and exciting game. One more win would see our Girls reach the County Semi Final, which would be an unbelievable performance in such a high division.

Seniors: The Seniors had a good win over Asdee on Saturday evening the 25th but were made work hard for the win from a rugged Asdee Team. Played at Walsh Park, Asdee Renard made the long journey to North Kerry and kept their County League promotion aspirations very much alive with a 7pt victory in a lively encounter that saw 29 scores totalled.

Renard came out at the start with a scoring spree from brothers Liam O Sullivan with a goal as well as many points from play, Brian O Sullivan and a goal and point from David O Sullivan made the O Sullivan household happy with their performances. The hard work from the other corner Daragh Fitzgarld setting up the play well and everything going to plan.

This came through to second half as well with Renard picking up from where the stopped and playing good play seemed to have the game in the bag but Asdee never gave up and kept plugging away but with some resiliant defending from Sean Coffey John Wharthon and Fionan Kissane meant but they did get a fine goal but Renard tapped over a few more scores from the brother pairing again of Kevin Curran and Brian Curran to seal the win. Some great fielding from Muris Neill in Midfield and Patrick Curran playing a great game at centre forward and Dermot O SUliivan very solid at centre back and every player that traveled to Asdee got game time which is important the game finished on a scoreline of Renard 2-16 Asdee 2-9 a 7 point win and a break now for the team for a few weeks hard training will be put in and a thank you to our supporters that traveled the long journey to support us on the day.

Juniors: The Juniors had there second game of there County League against a Cromane on Friday the 24th they had a big win over the Cromane side that seemed to be missing a few players but however the Renard performance was one of a very high standard with some great performance with midfield Pairing of Brian Coffey and Muris Neill and good corner back performances from the every reliable Pa McGill and Sean Coffey who came back for his first game after exams but played well. The young Minor players like Eoghan McCrohan, Pudie Casey, Morgan O Sullivan, Frank Sugrue, James O Sullivan all played there part int he game and the old brigade of Declan Neill and John Paul Connor played very well for there first game for a few years. Kevin Kely and Daragh Fitzgearld worked hard all day and worked well. The Final Score was Renard 2-12 Cromane 1-2!

U12: The under 12's had a good win over St.Marys on Sunday the 26th in Caherciveen some very good performances from Robert Wharthon and the Quinlan twins means the undearge are in good order under the guidance of Kevin Kelly and Mike Sheehan.
