Breda takes the Big plunge

NCBI Employee Breda Sheehan from Kilflynn says jumping out of a plane to raise funds for the national sight loss agency is "the easy option"!

The intrepid lady who manages the NCBI retail shop in Ashe Street, Tralee, says: "Well I look at it like this, I don't have to spend months pounding pavements to get in shape, I don't have any specific exercises to do and I don't have to walk or run for miles; I just jump out of the plane and that's it!".

Breda's skydive takes place on September 16 at the Irish Parachute Club in Edenderry Co Offaly, saying. "It is yet another new experience and I am actually looking forward to it as opposed to feeling nervous. I am quite practical and I know that the staff at the club are excellent, the health and safety checks are all in place so I will be in safe hands!" she said.

"I feel I am only trotting after the efforts of all the many volunteers who make the work of the NCBI possible!"

Breda is busy raising funds and this is going well as the specially prepared 'lucky bags' she is selling from the shop are "Flying out, I am getting fantastic support and it's great knowing that the money raised is going to a fabulous cause".
