Aware initiative set to return
Registration is now open for Aware's free Life Skills Group Programme which takes place in The Rose Hotel, Tralee, starting on January 30. The programme consists of nine hours over the next six weeks and will teach attendees how to better manage the stress of everyday life, recognise and manage unhelpful thoughts, learn new ways of thinking and ultimately begin the journey to a healthier and more confident life.
Aware is Ireland's leading organisation providing support, education and information services on issues pertaining to depression and bipolar disorder and is a beneficial resource for people in Kerry - a programme that has been developed by the renowned cognitive behaviour therapy specialist, Dr Chris Williams.
The programme is free, but a refundable €30 booking deposit is in place. The booking fee will be refunded by Aware once all six modules in the course have been completed. Reduced booking fees are available for students, the unemployed, OAPs or those in possession of a medical card.
Online registration for the programme is now open and places are available to anyone over 18. Those interested in attending are encouraged to book quickly as places are limited and will fill up fast. To register and book your place visit: www.aware.ie/services/life-skills-group-programme/
