Congratulations to Adam Quigley, who was part of an Under-13 winning Kerry team in the 1,200m Cross Country Final on Saturday, May 25, at the Community Games National Finals at the University of Limerick.

Adam was the first Kerry and Munster athlete over the line, finishing fourth individually, and earned a pewter medal.

This individual placing helped secure an overall first place finish for Adam's Kerry team.

The Kerry team, along with seven other counties, qualified for the finals which took place at 4pm with a field of 80 competitors strong, a mix of boys and girls.

The Valentia Island Community Games Committee and all involved are thrilled with his high performance and achievement.

A special thanks is owed to trainer, George McCarthy, along with Owen Stack. Adam is also very appreciative of Lorcan Murphy and Yvonne O Sullivan from Iveragh AC, who are always a great support to him.

Finally, thanks to the Valentia Community Games committee, in particular to secretary Karen O'Connell, for all the voluntary and behind-the-scenes work.
