Sipping and socialising for KBN ladies

THE newly relaunched Kerry Businesswomen's Network mixed business and pleasure when they held social and networking events in Tralee and Listowel.

The twin events saw more than 60 businesswomen from all over Kerry gather at the Carlton Hotel in Tralee while another 30 business women got together at the Listowel Arms Hotel the following evening.

Billed as an evening of sipping and socialising for women in business, the event gave Kerry's business women a chance to meet and network.

The evening aimed to connect women working from home-based businesses with women in office or retail premises. It also provided an opportunity for women seeking employment or looking to start a new business in 2014 to gain some useful insights and tips from the more established businesses in Kerry.

The Kerry Businesswomen's Network hopes to make this an annual event. The network is also planning to hold monthly meetings in 2014, covering topics such as finance, funding, grants, retail and customer service issues and will welcome speakers including Moire Geary, Susan Hayes, Brian O'Kane and Tony McCarthy.
